Watanabe Shuzo Honten

Watanabe Shuzo Honten is a brewery founded in 1909 in Tsunoshima-cho, Kurashiki City, and is one of the representative breweries of Kurashiki, the city of white walls.
Located in Tsunoshima-cho, a reclaimed land from the Edo period and a hub for water transport and agriculture, they have maintained traditional sake brewing for five generations.
Using underground water from the Takahashi River for brewing and inheriting Bitchu Toji techniques, they brew sake with Bitchu Akebono rice and Okayama's prized Omachi rice.
Their distinctive approach includes careful pressing with a traditional wooden press and a unique aging process accompanied by Mozart's music, creating a soft and gentle flavor.
The flagship brand "Mine no Homare" carries a tradition since the 1909 founding, while "Yume Kurashiki" symbolizes a new era for Kurashiki junmai sake, continuing to brew sake that harmonizes with regional food culture.
