Founded in 1865, Harada Shuzo in Higashiura-cho, Chita District, is a brewery boasting nearly 170 years of history.
They adhere to traditional handmade techniques in all processes, such as steaming rice using traditional cedar koshiki and "fune-shibori," where sake bags are carefully stacked.
Higashiura-cho is the birthplace of Lady Odai, the mother of Tokugawa Ieyasu, and to the west of the brewery, the "Ikujii" well associated with Prince Yamato Takeru still flows.
Entrusting the land's stories, where one feels the breath of history, to their sake, they pursue "true local sake" brewed with 100% Aichi Prefecture rice and local water.
They continue sincere brewing rooted in the community.
