Yahikoshuzou

Yahiko Shuzo, founded in 1838, is a brewery located in Yahiko Village, Nishikanbara District, Niigata Prefecture. In the gateway town of Yahiko Shrine, known as Echigo Ichinomiya, it has continued brewing sake for over 180 years, starting from sake as an offering to the gods and becoming a pride of the region.
Using the underflow water of the sacred Mt. Yahiko and high-quality rice carefully grown in local Nishikanbara, it maintains the tradition of handmade brewing by a small number of people. Its representative brand, 'Koshi no Hakusetsu,' as its name suggests, is characterized by a cool sensation as clear as snow and a dignified, elegant taste. Yahiko's sacred air, rich nature, and the passion that generations of brewers have quietly nurtured are condensed in every drop. While respecting tradition, it also challenges sake brewing that expresses regional identity, such as 'Yahiko Aikoku' using rice unique to Yahiko, and continues to fascinate many fans.
