In 1943, three breweries in Izushi Town and two breweries in Tanto Town merged to form the current form.
Izushi is a castle town known as the Little Kyoto of Tajima, and the brewery is located in a sightseeing spot famous as a production area of Izushi Soba.
The brewery features a red earthen wall built over 270 years ago, and the solid construction with a thickness of about 40 cm with 6 layers of coating is said to have taken 2 to 3 years just to paint the wall.
This earthen wall brewery has valuable cultural property value conveying the traditional architectural technology of the Tajima region to the present.
