Fujisaki Sobee Shoten Nagatorogura is a brewing base newly established in the scenic spot of Nagatoro in 2018 by the founding family with a history dating back to 1728, with the wish to create "ultimate local sake that can only be made in Saitama." Holding an unwavering belief in local production for local consumption, insisting that all "rice, water, and people" be from Saitama Prefecture, it shares Saitama's charm with the world.
The brewing water used is natural water springing from the Fuppu district in Nagatoro, embraced by the mountains of the Mt. Buko range, one of Japan's 100 famous mountains. For raw material rice, only local rice is selected, led by Saitama's proud brewing rice "Sake Musashi," and in Nagatoro's clear air, the passion of brewery workers is poured into every bottle. The spirit of traditional "refining with skill, brewing with heart" and latest facilities fuse, creating fine sake with a clear mouthfeel without off-flavors and a gorgeous, fruity aroma like fruit.
Its quality is highly evaluated internationally, with many awards at global sake competitions. Bearing the name of "Nagatoro," an attractive tourist spot, this brewery is not just a place for brewing but also serves as a transmission base for Saitama's new local sake culture, introducing regional crafts and food culture at its attached shop. Priding itself on tradition, it is a passionate brewery that continues to pursue the possibilities of Saitama terroir.
