SAKU13

"SAKU13" (Saku Thirteen) is a joint brewing project by 13 sake breweries in the Saku region of Nagano Prefecture, operated by members of the Saku Wakabakai established in 1966.
They aim to create sake that is accepted globally by sharing knowledge and technology across brewery boundaries.
Fourteen young successors from the 13 breweries carry out all processes from rice planting to bottling through joint work, fusing tradition and innovation in sake brewing in the Saku region.
Leveraging the clear streams and rich nature of the Saku region located at the uppermost stream of the Chikuma River, they practice a new form of sake brewing in which the entire region collaborates.
