Houmei Sake Brewing

Houmei Sake Brewing Co., Ltd. is a long-established brewery founded in 1797, located in the castle town of Sasayama Castle, the center of Tamba-Sasayama City.
In 1996, it developed a unique method called "Music Vibration Brewing," the first in the world, and conducts innovative attempts to brew while giving vibrations of classical music such as Mozart and Beethoven, and Tamba-Sasayama's folk song "Dekansho Bushi" to the sake.
In 2003, the main building of the head office and the brewing warehouse were registered as Tangible Cultural Properties (buildings) of the country, and their value as historical buildings was also recognized.
Located in the center of the castle town, diagonally opposite is the Tamba-Sasayama City Historical Art Museum, making it a cultural location visited also by tourists.
It also operates a directly managed restaurant "Horoyoi Jokakura," and brewery tours and tastings are possible.
