Tsuji Honten

Tsuji Honten is a brewery with over two centuries of history, founded in 1804 in Katsuyama, Maniwa City, producing 'Gozenshu' as its flagship brand using Okayama-grown Omachi rice.
The founding family had been running a kimono business under the trade name 'Sumiya' since the Edo period, and this heritage is honored through the special 'Sumiya Yahei' series.
Leveraging their proximity to the birthplace of Omachi rice, they use 100% Okayama Omachi rice and an unfiltered method without activated carbon, producing sake with the natural golden-to-amber color and deep umami inherent to Junmai sake.
In the traditional castle town of Katsuyama along the Izumo Highway, their sake maximizes the characteristics of Omachi rice.
As a rare brand available only through specialized retailers, they offer sake that fully showcases the charm of Omachi rice.
