Koshitsukano Shuzo, founded in 1781, is a brewery based in Agano City, Niigata Prefecture. Established as Bunda Shuzo in 1899, it has a unique background where the history and traditions of multiple breweries overlap, through the integration of Tsukano Shuzo (founded in 1781) and Echigoya Shuzo (founded in the early Taisho era), and renamed to the current 'Koshitsukano Shuzo' in 2001.
A major feature is its development of a wide lineup to meet diverse needs by fusing the strengths of each brewery while protecting tradition. Its representative brand 'Yoyoizumi,' as well as 'Koshi no Keisui' utilizing local water, 'Koshi no Ajiwai' pursuing the flavor of home, and 'Torachiyo' with a powerful taste, each radiate a different personality. Using underflow water from the Gozu mountain range and brewed with skilled techniques of Echigo brewers, its sake shows various expressions according to the purpose of each brand based on the typical Niigata light and dry style. It is one of the representative brewing companies in Agano where the weight of history and innovative spirit coexist.
