"Yorozuya Jozoten" is a historic brewery founded in 1790 (Kansei 2).
Located in Fujikawa Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, it was formerly known as "Ichiriki Masamune."
However, having interacted with the poet couple Tekkan and Akiko Yosano in the early Showa period, the brewery changed its name to the current flagship brand "Shunnoten" (Spring Warbler's Song), named after a poem composed by Akiko.
Upholding "Junmai-ism" where about 80% of production is Junmai sake, the brewers, who also grow rice locally, brew sake that maximizes the umami of the rice.
