Myozai Shuzo is a brewery located in Kamiyama-cho, Myozai-gun, Tokushima Prefecture. Kamiyama-cho is located in the central part of Tokushima Prefecture and is a nature-rich area known as Japan's largest production area of Sudachi and Shikoku's largest production area of Ume (Japanese apricot).
It used to be a family-run brewery in the region called Myozai-gun. Utilizing abundant water sources such as underflow water from the Mt. Tsurugi system and Sanuki Mountains, it carries out sake brewing based on the philosophy of 'Awa Juwari' (Junmai sake using 100% Tokushima-grown sake rice and collected water), which is a characteristic of local sake in Tokushima Prefecture.
It is a brewery that brews sake while cherishing tradition in the environment blessed with nature called Kamiyama-cho.
