Yasufuku Matashiro Shoten is a historic brewery in the Mikage district of Nada-Gogo, located in Mikage, Higashinada Ward, Kobe City.
With a tradition of over 250 years from the mid-Edo period, its wooden brewery completely collapsed in the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and production volume decreased to 1% of its peak.
Currently, it continues brewing by renting facilities from Hakutsuru Sake Brewing, and the 11th generation continues new challenges under the philosophy of "brewing food culture".
It develops unique brands such as "Ushi to Teppan" specialized in pairing with Kobe beef, and the literary "Sake no Soshi" with motifs from Sei Shonagon's "The Pillow Book".
Also, there is a connection that the old plum tree of the brewery became the model for "Kurenai Tennyo" (Crimson Goddess) in "Glass Mask", and collaboration with manga culture is also being developed.
