Yoshikawa Toji no Sato

Yoshikawa Toji no Sato is a brewery located in Yoshikawa-ku, Joetsu City, Niigata, symbolizing regional tradition and pride. Yoshikawa-ku is famous as the 'Home of Toji' (master brewers) that has produced many famous Toji for a long time, and this brewery was established as a base to inherit that history and connect it to the future. Originally born as a public-private 'third sector' entity carrying regional expectations, it currently continues to evolve after privatization.
While valuing traditional brewing techniques, its biggest feature is innovative challenges not bound by fixed ideas. Using high-quality sake rice from local Yoshikawa and pouring in the outstanding skills of the Toji without sparing, they brew sake that provides surprise and emotion.
Various personalities coexist, such as the flagship brand 'Tenkeiraku' and 'Arigatashi,' which attracts attention with an unconventional design of 90% rice polishing. Supported by a wide range of people as a unique existence that fuses passion for brewing, a regional cultural heritage, with modern sensitivity.
