Buko Shuzo

Buko Shuzo, founded in 1753 during the mid-Edo period, is a flagship long-established brewery of the Chichibu region, marking over 270 years of history in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture. The building used as a shop is a dignified structure that makes you feel high prestige within its historical value and is designated as a National Registered Tangible Cultural Property. Located in front of Chichibu Shrine, this brewery has walked alongside the town's development and is a symbolic existence that continues to protect Chichibu's brewing culture.
The maximum commitment is brewing using the underground water of the famous peak Mt. Buko, a symbol of Chichibu. This clear water springing within the brewery site has been prized since ancient times as "Mt. Buko underground water," giving sake crispness and transparency. The fusion of Chichibu's severe winter cold and the traditional skills of experienced craftsmen creates a mellow flavor that draws out rice umami to the maximum.
The flagship brand "Buko Masamune" is a drink that carries Chichibu's history and pride as its name suggests.
