Sasaiwaishuzou

Sasaiwai Shuzo is a historical brewery founded in 1899, located in Nishikan-ku, Niigata City. It strictly adheres to 'community-rooted' sake brewing, with about 90% of its production consumed within Niigata Prefecture.
Taking advantage of the rich blessings of the Echigo Plain, it is characterized by meticulous sake brewing using mainly Niigata-produced rice such as Kameno-o, Koshi Tanrei, and even Koshihikari table rice. With a unique concept of 'rich yet easy to drink,' it specializes in techniques that maximize the umami of rice through non-filtration and in-bottle aging. Its sake quality, which harmonizes elegant taste with a refreshing aftertaste, is familiar to many enthusiasts as a warm local sake that richly colors the daily dining table. While protecting more than 100 years of tradition, it is a proud brewery loved by the region that continues to transmit the essence of Niigata to the next generation.
