2000年1月に現9代目と杜氏が越後流の淡麗旨口を復活させて誕生した銘柄です。
地元の伝説の山に由来し、「蔵人の想いと天の恵みで醸す酒」という意味が込められています。
西山連峰の伏流水と希少な酒米「たかね錦」を使用し、軽やかさと旨味のバランスが特徴です。
