Aoki Shuzo is the only brewery in Koga City, Ibaraki Prefecture, founded in 1831 (Tenpo 2). Located in a land blessed with water and greenery where the Watarase River and the Tone River merge in the center of the Kanto Plain, they have continued traditional sake brewing for over 180 years.
The representative brand "Gokeiji" is known as a sake with a congratulatory name, named on the occasion of the wedding of Emperor Taisho.
In recent years, they have also focused on sake brewing using Ibaraki's original sake brewing suitable rice "Hitachi Nishiki," and while protecting tradition, they continue to evolve, such as gaining high praise in domestic and international competitions.
