Aiden Shoten is a long-established sake brewery with a history of about 200 years, founded in 1821 (Bunsei 4), and is located in Iwanuma City, Miyagi Prefecture.
The name of the main brand "Natorikoma" is derived from the history that this area was once a famous production area for war horses, producing war horses purveyed to samurai families in the Sengoku period, and a horse market was held at Takekuma Shrine.
Aiden Shoten is known for brewing sake as well as manufacturing Narazuke (pickles) using sake lees. Utilizing sake lees, a by-product of sake brewing, they continue to make pickles with traditional methods, and this Narazuke is particularly famous.
Supporting local food culture in Iwanuma City for many years, they continue food manufacturing rooted in the region from both aspects of sake and pickles.
