Sagi Shuzoten

Sagi Shuzoten, located in Ueda-machi, Iwaki City, is a high-caliber brewery that loves regional history and landscapes. Their signature brand "Nakoso no Seki" was born to commemorate the brewery's 100th anniversary, named after one of the three ancient barriers of Oshu loved by many literary figures including the Heian poet Minamoto no Yoshiie.
While the warm climate of the Iwaki region is a difficult condition for brewing, Sagi Shuzoten challenges this with thorough temperature management of "Moromi" (mash) and extremely meticulous manual work. By luxuriously polishing the raw rice and brewing slowly at low temperatures, they achieve a fresh aroma reminiscent of fruit and a mellow taste where sweetness and acidity resonate comfortably.
