Tanaka Sake Brewery was founded in 1835 (Tenpo 6) and is a long-established brewery located in Hirohata-ku, Himeji City.
Since its founding, it has mainly continued to brew the brand "Meito Masamune", and has a history of being praised as a rich and beautiful sake by the lord of Himeji Castle, the Sakai family, who granted the plaque "Kaki Zui Shu".
Named after the World Heritage Himeji Castle's alias "Shirasagi Castle", "Shirasagi no Shiro" focuses on Daiginjo and achieved the feat of winning the gold medal at the National New Sake Appraisal for 7 consecutive years from 1990.
In the brand "Kame no Kou", it is also known for its high rice polishing technology, such as releasing "Ju-ki" which achieved an astounding polishing ratio of 8% by polishing the rare sake rice "Kame no O" to the limit.
While reflecting the characteristics of sake in the Harima region, it maintains its own style and boasts a presence as a famous brewery representing the Harima district specializing in high-class sake.
