Tohei Shuzo is a small brewery located in Kururi, a village of famous water, continuing since the mid-Edo period. With an annual production of only about 300 koku (approx. 54,000 liters), it brews sake with only three brewers, centered on the family. True to the saying "It starts with washing and ends with washing," it thoroughly carries out the rice washing process of the raw rice and pursues a clean sake quality without off-flavors. Its handmade sake using Kururi's famous water and carefully selected sake rice is characterized by its sharpness and swelling taste.
