Narumi Jozoten, located in the famous "Nakamachi Komise-dori" of Kuroishi City, was founded under the shop name "Inamuraya."
The name "Inamura" originates from a place that yielded harvests even during famines, and the brewery carries on a tradition of over 200 years.
The brewing water is soft groundwater derived from the snowmelt of the Iwaki and Hakkoda mountain ranges. They primarily use Aomori-grown sake rice (Hana-fubuki, Hana-omoi, Hana-sayaka) and yeasts developed in Aomori.
Led by the brewery owner, Mr. Narumi, they emphasize cleanliness and teamwork ("Wago") in their brewing process. Carefully crafted by master Tsugaru Toji (brewers), their sake captures the brewery's unique character and the Tsugaru terroir, earning high praise for its soft mouthfeel, richness, and mellow quality.
The brewery has achieved multiple Gold Awards at the Annual Japan Sake Awards.
