Moriyama Shuzo is the only brewery in Ogori City, Fukuoka Prefecture, with a history of over 100 years since its founding in the Taisho era. Located in a place blessed with the rich natural environment and high-quality underground water of the Chikugo region, they work on improving sake quality according to the times while inheriting traditional sake brewing. Associated with Ogori City being a "place related to the Tanabata legend," they also develop romantic brands such as "Orihime" and "Kengyu." They practice sake brewing deeply connected to local culture, such as the Daiginjo bearing the name of the first head, "Karoku."
High-quality underground water pumped from deep underground is used for brewing water, characterized by a soft and smooth mouthfeel. The spring "Sakagura Kaiho" (brewery opening) is bustling with many people, and they continue activities rooted in the region.
