Ozakishuzou

Ozaki Shuzō Co., Ltd. is the only brewery on the west coast of Aomori Prefecture, located in the town of Ajigasawa, Nishitsugaru District.
Ajigasawa has a long history as the birthplace of the Tsugaru Clan. While preserving traditional brewing methods passed down since the feudal era, the brewery works diligently every day to craft sake using spring water from the Shirakami-Sanchi mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage site, as its brewing water. Even the local domestic water in Ajigasawa comes from the mountains of this World Heritage site.
The flagship brand "Andoh Suigun" is named after the legendary "Andoh Navy," the masters of the Sea of Japan who built the prosperity of the trading port "Tsugaru Tosa-no-Minato" from the late 12th to the 15th century. The label is characterized by a red design representing the sunset over the Sea of Japan.
Currently, Dai Ozaki, the 14th generation, serves as both the owner and master brewer (Kuramoto Toji).
