Yukitsubaki Shuzo, founded in 1806, is a brewery located in Kamo City, Niigata Prefecture. In the beautiful land of Kamo, referred to as 'Little Kyoto of Hokuetsu,' it has stubbornly maintained traditional handmade techniques for over 200 years.
A major feature is its strong commitment to brewing only 'Junmai-shu' (pure rice sake). Brewed only with rice, water, and koji without adding any brewing alcohol, the sake concentrates the original umami and plump aroma of rice. Its representative brand, 'Koshi no Yukitsubaki,' like the snow camellia that blooms with dignity in spring after passing through a deep and severe winter, is characterized by a delicate yet solid core taste. The elegant taste born from sake brewing that does not spare effort, such as manual koji making and low-temperature fermentation, is highly supported by sake fans nationwide and has won many awards at domestic and international competitions. It is one of Niigata's leading Junmai breweries that continues to convey the essence of sake through sincere brewing respecting tradition.
