Hara Shuzojo

Hara Shuzojo (Trade name: Nunoya) is a long-established brewery founded in 1740. It practices unique brewing using well water from the Mt. Hakusan system and natural flower yeast (yeast isolated from flowers in nature). The current owner also serves as the master brewer (Toji), and using locally grown Gifu rice, the brewery is characterized by all-quantity natural flower yeast brewing, using different yeasts such as chrysanthemum, azalea, abelia, and queen of the night. The representative brand "Genbun" was named after the founding era "Genbun 5," and is known as a brand highly praised by actor Seiji Rokkaku (from the drama "Aibou").
