"Usuzumi Zakura" is a brand named after the famous Usuzumi Zakura (a cherry blossom tree over 1500 years old) in Gifu Prefecture. It uses 100% Hatsushimo (a "phantom rice" that is a specialty of Gifu Prefecture and almost never grown outside the prefecture) for sake rice, which is contract-farmed in Miwa, Gifu City. Rich in rice umami, it features a sake quality suitable for savoring slowly during long autumn nights and is also suitable for warmed sake.
