Yoshinotomo Shuzo, located in Fuchu Town, Toyama City, is a brewery founded in 1877 and holds the distinction of being the only 'Junmai-only' specialist in Toyama Prefecture.
Starting as early as the 1960s, they pioneered the production of Junmai-shu (pure rice sake) without added brewer's alcohol, long before it became a trend. Under the motto 'Sake so good you'll want another glass,' they brew crisp, dry Junmai sake that beautifully harmonizes the richness of Toyama-grown rice with pristine underground water from the Tateyama mountain range.
While honoring tradition, they are also highly acclaimed for innovative developments, such as 'Yoshidaya Chohachi' using apple flower yeast and the premium 'kisaki' series designed to complement modern dining.
