Murohara Shuzo

Murohara Shuzo is a sake brewery located in Minamioguni Town, Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture, brewing in the highland area on the northern side of the Aso outer rim mountains.
The brewery uses pure spring water from the Oguni area for brewing, and the soft water quality produces a gentle sake character.
Sake rice is primarily sourced from Kumamoto Prefecture, practicing brewing that takes advantage of the cool climate of the Oguni area.
Despite its small scale, the brewery preserves traditional handcrafted techniques and continues sake-making that cherishes the local terroir.
Its flagship brand, Wada Shiratsuyu, is a sake that expresses the history and culture of the local area.
