Yumegokoro Shuzo, founded in 1877, is a skilled brewery with over 140 years of history in the "storehouse town" of Kitakata.
With the conviction of "Sake that is always different yet always unchanged," they practice brewing that is strictly "All Fukushima, All Kitakata," using Aizu-grown rice, the "Togami Mountain Spring Water" (selected as one of the persist 100 Famous Waters of the Heisei Era), and the "Utsukushima Yume Yeast" developed in Fukushima Prefecture.
Notably, 80% of the rice they use is from local Kitakata, much of which is specially cultivated "Gohyakumangoku" rice grown with reduced pesticides by contract farmers. Their flagship brand "Naraman" aims for the ideal of being the "best supporting actor" that enhances the flavor of food, pursuing a taste that never tires the palate where powerful rice umami and fresh crispness coexist. It is a true local sake brewed through the trinity of Kitakata's terroir, the passion of farmers, and the exceptional skills of brewers, bringing smiles to every dining table.
