"Kadoguchi Shuzoten" is a brewery founded in 1869 (Meiji 2), located in Iiyama City, the northernmost heavy snowfall area of Nagano Prefecture.
Under the belief that "sake loved by locals is true local sake," they brew sake using clear spring water from Mt. Nabekura, which has one of Japan's leading beech forests, and sake rice from Nagano Prefecture.
"Hokkou Masamune," brewed by brewer Toji Yuya Muramatsu and rooted in tradition and the local climate, has a taste that accompanies the food culture of the snowy region.
