Nihon Shuzo was a brewery once based in Hiki District, Saitama Prefecture, that performed brewing respecting regional tradition and prestige. True to its name (meaning "Japan Sake Brewing"), it held a creed of brewing that embodied traditional Japanese virtues. Its flagship brands were "Aoi Bandai" and "Bandai Kuromatsu Masamune," whose dignified names combining historic sake designations like "Aoi," "Bandai," "Kuromatsu," and "Masamune" contained the brewery's pride. Although it has unfortunately closed and its flavors can no longer be experienced, it is still passed down among sake enthusiasts as a precious regional memory telling the history of brewing once nurtured in the rich nature of Hiki.
