Sakuragao Shuzo

Sakuragao Shuzo is located in Morioka City and was born as a cooperative association established by 10 sake brewing companies in Iwate Prefecture. It is currently operated as a subsidiary of Yoshimura Food Holdings. Actively engaged in sake brewing with motifs from the world of Kenji Miyazawa's works, it features a unique brand development that links Iwate's literary climate with sake brewing.
Centering on the use of Iwate Prefecture's sake brewing rice "Gin Ginga" and "Yu no Ka," they practice sake brewing rich in regionality utilizing Iwate Prefecture's original yeasts "Giovanni no Shirabe" and "Yuko no Omoi." Taking advantage of its location in Morioka, the center of Iwate, they develop many brands closely linked to local culture.
From Junmai Ginjo sake characterized by fruity ginjo aroma and refreshing acidity to low-alcohol products that are friendly to women, they respond to diverse needs with a wide lineup. They also contribute to regional promotion through sake brewing that expresses Iwate's rich nature and culture.
