Yoshida Shuzo is a historic sake brewery located in Sakae-honmachi, Ikeda City, Osaka Prefecture, and is one of the two remaining breweries in Ikeda.
Although the brewery suffered devastating damage when its facilities were completely destroyed in the 1995 Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, they moved their production base to Kasai City, Hyogo Prefecture, to continue brewing and preserve Ikeda's traditional sake culture.
Using underground water from the Inagawa River system and rice varieties such as Yamadanishiki, Nihonbare, and Gohyakumangoku, they brew sake that stays close to local history.
With the pride that Ikeda is the birthplace of refined sake, they not only protect tradition but also play a role in connecting regional culture to the next generation by developing brands inspired by Ikeda City's "Legend of Orihime."
