Fukunishiki is a sake brewery founded in 1839 (Tenpo 10), boasting a history of over 180 years.
It is located on the banks of the Zenbo River, in a rural area in the center of the Banshu Plain in Kasai City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Based on the philosophy that "food should be pure", they made a Junmai Sake Declaration in 1987, achieved all-Junmai sake production in 1992, and achieved local rice sake production using only local Kasai sake rice in 1997.
It is a pioneer brewery nationwide, committing to brewing using only pure rice sake since 1992 and only rice from local Kasai City since 1996.
Brewed with underground water from the central Harima hills, it is a rich umami sake with plenty of acidity, pursuing the expression of the umami of rice.
It has received high international acclaim, including winning Platinum and Gold awards at KURA MASTER.
