Kimura Sake Brewery was a sake brewery in Takeda with a history of about 400 years. The founder of the Kimura family was a vassal of Takeda Shingen, and started sake brewing in Takeda around 1625 (Kanei 2).
After two fires, the current building was rebuilt around 1902 (Meiji 35).
In the 1970s, they stopped brewing their own sake and purchased and sold sake from Honda Shoten in Himeji, but around 2005, they resumed brewing their own sake for the first time in about 25 years.
Later, it was severely damaged by a typhoon and stopped brewing.
In 2013 (Heisei 25), Asago City bought it, renovated it, and it was reborn as a complex commercial facility called "EN" (hotel, cafe, restaurant, tourist information center).
