Inoue Seikichi Shoten is a historic sake brewery in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi, founded in 1886. Under the concept of "Real Local Sake Declaration," the brewery is deeply committed to its terroir, using 100% Tochigi-grown rice for all its products.
Its flagship brand, "Sawahime," has gained international acclaim, twice winning the prestigious "Champion Sake" award—the highest honor—at the International Wine Challenge (IWC), the world's largest wine and sake competition.
While inheriting the traditional skills of the Shimotsuke Toji (Tochigi's master brewers), the brewery continues to pursue the essence of authentic local sake, focusing on local rice, water, yeast, and people. It stands as one of Tochigi's leading breweries.
