Funasaka Sake Brewery

Funasaka Sake Brewery is a historic sake brewery with a 200-year history located in Kami-sannomachi, Hida Takayama, standing in the "Old Townscape" with the atmosphere of a castle town. The brewery is operated as a facility that integrates sake brewing, tasting, and retail sales under the concept of a "Sake Theme Park," and you can enjoy pairings of local dishes such as Hida beef with sake at the annexed restaurant. Focusing on brands nurtured by the rich water of the Kiso Three Rivers, it carefully brews sake using traditional hand-made methods, and the brewery buildings are designated as National Registered Tangible Cultural Properties. It is one of the representative breweries of Hida Takayama that continues to propose new ways to enjoy sake while preserving tradition.
