Homare Shuzo

Homare Shuzo, founded in 1918, is a prestigious brewery in the "storehouse town" of Kitakata, boasting one of the region's largest scales and technical skills, having made Aizu sake known worldwide.
A brilliant milestone in its history was the 2016 Ise-Shima Summit. Its flagship brand "Aizu Homare" was selected by the then-Prime Minister as an official gift for world leaders, an honor that showcased Fukushima's pride to the world. Merging pure underground water from Mount Iide with traditional techniques and cutting-edge quality control, its sake possesses a dignity and depth that enchanted global VIPs.
In recent years, they have launched the premium brand "Karahashi," named after the brewery family's surname. Their uncompromising pursuit of quality—including thorough ultra-low temperature storage at -5°C—has excited new fans. With its vast 4,300-square-meter Japanese garden "Unreian," where visitors can experience Aizu's sake culture through all five senses amidst seasonal beauty, it is truly the "face" of Aizu sake.
