"Matsubaya Honten" is a long-established brewery founded in the Sakurazawa district of Nakano City during the Edo period and moved to the current Obuse Town in the early Meiji period.
The current brewery building has a history of over 200 years and was once a purveyor brewery of the Matsushiro domain.
With a system of 4 people (1 chief brewer and 3 brewers), they realize small-scale but high-mix production, brewing about 24 types of basic products (about 130 types including blends and different volumes).
Brewery tours are also possible, and you can enjoy tasting at the counter near the cash register.
