Oki Shuzo was established in 1972 (Showa 47) through the merger of five sake breweries on Oki Island. With the motto "There is no ceiling (goal) to the improvement of sake quality," they pursue sake brewing loved by the islanders.
Spring water from "Tenga no Mizu," which was selected as one of "Japan's 100 Best Waters," is used for brewing water. Sake rice is carefully selected from Yamada Nishiki from Hyogo Prefecture, Kairyo Omachi from Shimane Prefecture, Gohyakumangoku, etc., and all are polished in-house. It is a talented brewery that combines the latest equipment and traditional techniques and has won numerous gold awards at appraisals.
