Honnoda Sake Brewing is a historical brewery in Nada-Gogo, located in Nishinomiya City.
Known for brands such as "Kintaka" and "Iroha" since its founding in the late Edo period, all of its breweries were burned down in the Nishinomiya air raid during World War II.
Although rebuilt in 1951, it was damaged in the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and is currently suspending brewing, but continues the brand through contract brewing.
The brand name "Kintaka" (Golden Hawk) contains the beauty of the golden color of sake brewed from rice ripened by the sun and the nobility of the hawk, the king of birds.
It is a brewery that continues to protect the brand of Nada while overcoming two difficulties: war damage and earthquake disaster.
