Koyanagi Shuzo is a long-established brewery founded during the Bunka and Bunsei eras (early 19th century), known for its famous sake "Takasago" and "Takasago Kinsho". Thirteen of its buildings, including the main building, warehouses, koji room, and yeast starter room, are designated as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties of Japan and are also recognized as Saga Prefecture Heritage. The wooden two-story "West Warehouse" and "Meiji Warehouse" have been renovated and opened to the public, reborn as a stylish space where visitors can enjoy craft gin and a cafe. It operates the Ogi Distillery, producing and selling new craft gin using local ingredients by renovating the registered tangible cultural property brewery. Its representative brand is "Takasago".
