Founded in 1917 with the unwavering belief that "Sake is born from the rice fields," Asamai Shuzo is located in the heart of the Yokote Basin.
One of the first in Akita to become an all-Junmai-only brewery, the brewers themselves work in the fields alongside local farmers within a 5km radius.
Blessed with the underflow water of the Ou Mountains, they use traditional press methods to brew pure "rice sake" that embodies the breath of the earth and the sincerity of the craftsmen.
