Fujimasa Shuzo is one of the closest breweries to Mt. Fuji in Japan, situated at an altitude of 900 meters on the Asagiri Plateau at the western foot of the World Heritage site. Since its founding in 1866, it has carved out over 150 years of history in Fujinomiya. In 2010, the brewery relocated to this current site to pursue an even more ideal environment for sake brewing, with a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji up close.
The lifeblood of their brewing is the pristine vanadium-rich groundwater, formed as Mt. Fuji's snowmelt is naturally filtered deep underground over countless years. This pure water is used generously as the brewing water, and the brewery practices unique sake making that leverages the cool climate of the nature-rich plateau.
Guided by the mission to craft 'Sake that heals the heart and provides strength for tomorrow,' the brewery inherits the skills of Nanbu Toji while sealing the power of Mt. Fuji and the freshness of Asagiri Plateau into every drop. We deliver a cup full of pure vitality, much like the blessings of Mt. Fuji itself.
