Chiyogiku is a long-established brewery that started brewing in 1738, and the ninth generation Matakichi established the "Chiyogiku" brand in the Bunka era (mid-19th century). Using groundwater from the Nagara River, it brews environmentally friendly organic sake, such as the organic Junmai Ginjo "Korin," which uses 100% JAS organic certified rice (grown in Kuwabara-cho, Hashima City, without using pesticides or chemical fertilizers by Aigamo farming method). The representative brand "Chiyogiku" conveys the traditional taste continued from the 19th century to the present, including Junmai Daiginjo "Kinkaku" and Daiginjo "Kohaku-ume."
