Ryujin Shuzo, located in Tatebayashi City, Gunma Prefecture, is a brewery with deep historical roots, said to have been founded when the samurai Daizen-no-suke Kezuka laid down his sword to begin brewing sake.
The facility is built atop a source of pure water known as the "Well of Ryujin (Dragon God)," which is fed by snowmelt flowing from the Oze highlands.
Boasting state-of-the-art equipment, including in-house rice polishing and thermal tanks, the brewery produces its famous "Oze no Yukidoke" brand, which consists almost entirely of high-quality Junmai Daiginjo (polished to 50%) offered at a surprising value.
Following the traditional techniques of the Nanbu school, every step of the brewing process is handled in-house by their dedicated staff.
