Akagi Shuzo is a brewery with two centuries of history, founded in 1823 in Bitchu-cho, Takahashi City, producing 'Rantei Kyokusui' as its flagship brand.
The brand bears an elegant name derived from the Chinese historical classic 'Lantingji Xu' (Preface to the Orchid Pavilion). While the brewery once produced three brands including 'Wakatake' and 'Tomiyatsuru,' only Rantei Kyokusui continues to be brewed today.
Characterized by a slightly dry, crisp taste with a refreshing drinkability that never tires the palate.
Inheriting two centuries of traditional brewing in the Bitchu region, it is cherished as a sake that complements the local food culture.
In addition to sake, the brewery also produces kibi shochu, demonstrating versatile distilling skills.
