Hosokawa Shuzo

Founded in 1850 (Kaei 3). Located in the monzen-machi (temple town) of Tado Taisha Shrine, known for the "Ageuma Shinji" (Rising Horse Ritual) since ancient times.
Using clear subsoil water from the Yoro Mountains as brewing water, they carefully brew using traditional "Kan-zukuri" (winter brewing) methods.
Cherishing the original taste of sake created by local rice, water, and climate, they have walked together with the regional food culture.
Their flagship brand "Ageuma" is characterized by a powerful yet crisp taste that expresses the bravery of the ritual.
