Tominaga Brewery is a historic sake brewing company founded in 1875 (Meiji 8), located in Kushigahama, Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Takako Tominaga, the second daughter, succeeded the company from her father about 12 years ago and is challenging sake brewing in a new era.
The representative brand is sake 'Fukuju', and currently sake brewing is outsourced to Yamagata Honten (Kume, Shunan City). The trade name of the Tominaga family is 'Kagaya', which originates from a merchant from Ishikawa Prefecture who arrived in this land by Kitamaebune ship.
The Junmai sake 'Nakiri Senken Hama Hakken' which was born about 15 years ago is a sake worked on by Takako and her sisters, named after 'Nakiri' at the foot of Mt.
